2013 May 21st Scholarship Luncheon

LUNCHEON WILL HONOR SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
& STUDENTS ENTERING THE MILITARY

The Strongsville Chamber of Commerce will be awarding scholarships to Strongsville High School students and will also acknowledge the Strongsville students that will be entering the military upon graduation, at their May Monthly Business Luncheon. The luncheon is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21st, 11:30 a.m., at the Strongsville Holiday Inn.

The scholarships are funded by the proceeds from the annual Holiday Dance held each December and sponsored by the Chamber. This year marks the 47th consecutive year that the Chamber has awarded scholarships to deserving seniors. The Chamber donates more scholarships, with a higher dollar value, than any other local organization in Strongsville.

We are pleased to welcome Mr. Mark Dodosh as our guest speaker for the luncheon. Mr. Dodosh is with Crain’s Cleveland Business, where he has been managing editor for 24 years. He graduated from Normandy High School and Bowling Green, earning bachelor’s degrees in both journalism and business administration. Mark’s career in the newspaper field includes working for the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette, The Wall Street Journal, and DowAlert. Mark has received more than two dozen state and national awards and in 2010, he was inducted into the Press Club of Cleveland Journalism Hall of Fame.

Cost will be $20 per person, payable at the door, in advance by calling the office, or through the website registration. Please remember, you must cancel your reservation 24 hours in advance or you will be responsible for the fee.
