What is a Payroll Administrator?
The Payroll Administrator will prepare and report all payroll functions and activities for all US locations. The hours for this position are 8:00am-4:30pm. The position will report to the VP of Human Resources.
 
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with three years related, applicable payroll experience. UKG experience preferred.

 
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Prepare wage and salary payroll, including functions such as computing, creating deductions, making salary calculations, sending ACH transactions, etc. for all US Locations.
2. Working with third party payroll provider, ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations (e.g., taxes, payment upon terminations, deductions, etc).
3. Maintain individual payroll records and direct deposit records and maintain confidentiality.
4. Along with other members of Human Resources is a liaison between Company and the payroll HR service.
5. Prepare and distribute payroll and tax forms as necessary.
6. Compile periodic reports for payroll, 401k plan and special management requests.
7. Prepare reports for Finance for general ledger journal entry for all payrolls.
8. Ensure timecard keeping for full-time, part-time, and temporary employees. Process temporary timecards to agencies as necessary.
9. Keep track of vacation and personal holiday for all full-time employees.
10. Administer HRIS system for items related to payroll processing and administration (e.g., verify new hires, verify department changes, terminate employees, etc.).
11. Comply with Clark-Reliance Retention policy associated to payroll documents.
12. Works with other members on the HR team to ensure a smooth payroll cycle and timely transactions.
13. Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers effectively.
14. Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.
15. Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.
16. Maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
17. Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.
18. Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.



 
Required Experience and Education
• 3 years related, applicable payroll experience required. UKG experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 
• Able to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English. 
• Ability to handle complex projects and tasks independently within established standards.
• Ability to utilize advanced spreadsheet and analytical techniques.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Successful passing of a credit report.

 
 
Physical and Technical Environment
• Minimal lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend and stoop in a normal office environment.
• Ability to routinely travel throughout multi-floor office and shop area, walking, climbing stairs, utilizing elevator.
• Normal office environment, changing deadlines, project assignments, very strict and continuous time constraints.
