What is a Supply Chain Analyst?
The Supply Chain Analyst is a newly created role for Clark-Reliance® and will play a critical role in managing and optimizing inventory throughout the supply chain. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of inventory management practices, manufacturing processes / operations, and the ability to forecast supply and demand to ensure optimal stock levels. The Supply Chain Analyst will also partner with other team members to explore opportunities for process improvements.
 
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have either a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management with three years’ experience OR a high school diploma with at least 10 years of manufacturing, operations, and/or supply chain related experience, including production planning, purchasing / vendor management, master scheduling, and a strong emphasis working with ERP / Planning systems.
 

 
Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Run analysis, as necessary to perform a full supply chain review of MRP data fields within the ERP system
  2. Perform ‘what-if’ analysis scenarios, for adjusting safety stock and inventory parameters.
  3. Develop & report KPI’s for supply chain data fields, in ensure timely updates of data fields are maintained and updated.
  4. Analyze inventory levels and product demand to determine reorder levels. This includes maintaining the process, validating data, identifying data issues, and performing analyses to optimize service/inventory productivity.
  5. Support cross-functional teams on questions related to reorder levels. Seek feedback from planners & product managers on changes.
  6. Develop and work with IT to automate reports to support robust processes, troubleshoot problems and develop solutions.
  7. Continuously model excess inventory to determine and eliminate root causes.
  8. Perform material master governance over key fields that impact planning processes through regular audits for accuracy and to identify discrepancies.
  9. Prepare and present inventory reports, data, and analysis to management.
  10. Support new supply chain initiatives as needed by running simulations, determining methods to execute, and implementing the inventory changes.
  11. Provide analytical support for life cycle modeling including new product introduction and End of Life. Support projects to smoothly transition to the new product and minimize obsolete material. Work with project teams as necessary to execute the planned transition on time.
  12. Support continued integration of all business units into standard supply chain processes.
  13. Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers effectively.
  14. Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.
  15. Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.
  16. Maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
  17. Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.
  18. Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
 
Required Experience and Education
 
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field with three years experience in manufacturing, operations, and/or supply chain related experience, including production planning, purchasing / vendor management, master scheduling, and a strong emphasis working with ERP / Planning systems is preferred.

 
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, a High School Diploma is required, with at least 10 years of manufacturing, operations, and/or supply chain related experience, including production planning, purchasing / vendor management, master scheduling, and a strong emphasis working with ERP / Planning systems.
 
• Able to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel and PowerPoint, plus familiarity with Power BI • ERP Systems experienced (Preferably INFOR) • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

 
 
Physical and Technical Environment
• Minimal lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally. • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, and stoop in a normal office environment. • Ability to routinely travel throughout multi-floor office and shop area, walking, climbing stairs, utilizing elevator. • Normal vision and manual dexterity. • Specific vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. • Normal office environment, changing deadlines, project assignments, strict time constraints. • Must respond to changing requirements and working conditions.
